That would the same as going to Hawaii and seeing potatoes in their flower beds! None the less, the massive leaves of this plant have the tropics written all over them.

The 2018 Lychee Season is just getting started - March Update. Things are looking very good so far. We are experiencing a significant bloom, much more than last year or the year before. The male flowers are opening and there appear to be many female flowers available for pollination. This is a good sign and it portends a robust lychee crop for the Spring and early summer of 2018. One of our new favorite restaurants makes a really good one so we combined parts of that with some recipes we found online. First, take all those wonderfully ripe cherry tomatoes you harvested yesterday.
